Southern Vales Archery Club
LONGLY LONGBOW TOURNAMENT

The first Longly Longbow Tournament was held at Southern Vales
Archery Club in November 1977 and was a huge success. This was, and
still is, the only Longbow Tournament in Australia.

Ever since, on the last Sunday in November, Longbowers gather at SVAC,
appropriately attired for the times of yore, and compete in a most joyous
contest.

There are only 4 Divisions: Senior Male (19 and Over)
Senior Female (19 and Over)
Junior Male (18 and Under)
Junior Female (18 and Under)

There are only 2 Rounds: Seniors – Short Canberra 90 arrows at 50m, 40m and 30m
Juniors – Junior Canberra 90 arrows at 40m, 30m and 20m

Only Longbows and Traditional bows (i.e. Horsebows) are permitted

A BBQ dinner is included in the entry fee and is provided after the tournament. For guests travelling with competitors, there is an additional fee for their meal.

There are 3 ways to register for the Longly Longbow Tournament:
* Register via the link provided by SVAC (not other websites)
* Enter your name on the Longly Registration sheet in the clubhouse, or
* Just turn up on the day (although a heads up would assist with the catering for the dinner)
